Kuwait has arrested the leader of the Islamist Ummah Party for allegedly insulting the neighbouring Gulf state of Saudi Arabia during a television interview, the interior ministry has reportedly said.



Hakem Al Mutairi was accused of “grossly insulting Saudi Arabia” during comments about the death of the leader of the Ummah Party in Saudi Arabia in December, the ministry said in a statement published by Arab Times.
